Hoboken HR Associate and Community Leader Michael Russo
Based in Hoboken, New Jersey, Michael Russo is a doctor of physical therapy with extensive experience in orthopedic rehabilitation, functional medicine, and balance disorders. For more than two decades, Hoboken resident Michael Russo has led multiple clinical practices throughout New Jersey with a focus on treating various issues such as concussions, gait issues, dizziness, and back pain. Today, he is a human resources associate with the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission. In this capacity, he supports daily operations and manages recruitment and employee benefits.
As the former CEO and clinical director of NJIB in Bayonne, Mr. Russo combined hands-on patient care with executive management. He oversaw hiring, training, billing, and inter-provider communication.
His academic foundation includes a doctorate of physical therapy from Utica University, a master’s degree in physical therapy from Rutgers University, and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Stockton University.
In addition to his professional roles, he serves in a leadership capacity across New Jersey. He is an elected member of the Hoboken City Council and member of the Hoboken Hospital Authority and Hoboken Insurance Commission.
Outside of these endeavors, he supports causes such as cancer prevention. In addition, he provides physical therapy on a pro bono basis for high school and college sports teams.
